My wife and I have been using Xpense tracker as a method of tracking our daily cash and credit card expenditures. We input on our iPhones then email ourselves the QIF file and import to Quicken. This worked great until about a year ago when a Quicken upgrade changed the file format. The incompatible file formats made this task much more painful. We are glad the compatibility issues are resolved.early missed using Xpense Tracker.

Ive had this for a few years and now Ive even recommended it to everyone at my office. I love that it makes a quick spreadsheet with receipt pictures attached. The only thing is that I wish it showed miles in the spreadsheet instead of just the dollar value. I just add the miles in the description as a workaround But its the only non-Apple app in my iPhone dock.

This app is great in that it makes it easier for road warriors to track expenses. The ability of the camera and OCR reader is a feature that I like. Also the ability to sync between the systems is another great feature.

Auto trip tracker is not so auto. You have to have the app open and running in the background to record trips. Everlance doesnt require that, so I know its possible to do this in the background without app being open. I always close all running apps at least once a day and forget to open this before leaving home so trip doesnt get recorded. Irritating UPDATE: Even with the app running, it constantly misses trips. Waste of money if you get this for milage tracking!

Super user friendly

Fills a void within my company for tracking expenses. I can use this for adding expenses at the time of expense so reporting later is fast and easy. My company has their own form but now I have a solid backup of all receipts without standing at the copy machine! With XpenseTracker, I can email myself a report then quickly transpose to my companys form. Easy! The exchange rate function works very well. One suggestion is to add an "actual" charge in local currency as I must expense as my Credit Card charges + Intl transaction fee. One report fell short of one of my needs. I emailed the author and he had a custom report to me within a couple of days. Fantastic support, fantastic app! OCR could be better but receipts vary so much that this is to be expected. I dont use for mileage but it appears this would offer great value for those of you who do. Im amazed at the full featured nature of this app! Well done!

For the 1st time ever I was able to instantly give an expense report when asked & it was all prepared using the app as a tracker & the templates as a report generator

I use this every time we travel with a group of friends. I enter every bodies starting contribution to the " kitty" and record the checks with the photo receipt feature. All checks are photo deposited in my checking account and I use my ATM card to pay for group purchases. I record the purchases as expenses, photo the receipts and the app tracks how much is left. The cool thing is I can anticipate if more dough is needed before I get into MY personal cash in that checking account. I can also send a running expense report to each person. Very convenient, except that all the travelers are very quick to nominate me as treasurer on these trips. This is a great app. Easy to use

Traveling all over the world and this is the only app that gets the job done. I love it and so does my CPA

Ive been using this app for several years to track all of our expenses, we heavily really on it. During the past few weeks the app crashes at random times frequently. Sometimes it happens as soon as I open the app. Other times it wont happen until I start logging a new expense. Please fix soon. Thank you.

Been using the app for 5 months. Its lived up to everything.

Unable to use due to immediate crashing. This problem was IMMEDIATELY resolved by the developer. I have used this app four 5+ years. The ability to customize and print reports in a variety of formats streamlines tax prep work. Its a must-have tool for my business!

I wear three different professional hats. Xpense Trkr helps me keep my business expenses and other deductible expenses. I can view them by type, profession, and client. I particularly like its mapping integration for calculating mileage and the pick lists for frequently recurring stops and events.

Ever since "Drives" has been added, this app is a must have for tracking mileage. The simplicity of all the options keeps my CPA happy.

Been using it for both self-employed ventures and it seems to be keeping my disheveled self in line!

This is a great app for tracking expenses...and income if desired. We are using the app to track expenses on a cross-country RV trip...unique categories can be added as needed. Update...added OCR and location tracking at extra cost as options. Consider both worthless! OCR doesnt work 99% of the time. Havent seen any advantage to location tracking...cant even figure out what it does???? Update: Cannot get the "Gallons" to show when the category is "Fuel" and paid for the synching of multiple devices, and cannot get option to show on other devices. Developer used to be very responsive in answering questions...now he seems to be MIA

I have my own business and like to be able to track my mileage without using GPS. I like to put the mileage in manually. It also keeps my destinations on file so I dont have to look them up every time.

Straightforward and easy to learn. I like the photo function, and love being able to export a csv spreadsheet. If youre traveling and need to track your expenses for the bean counters back at the office, this is as close to effortless as you can get.

Ive used this app for several years to keep track of mileage and expenses while on business. It is a big help in keeping this stuff organized. Id get it again.
